WAi is not settling down. Even with a rich 35 year history, we don’t want to stop with the status quo. It is our intention to show other small businesses like ourselves, just how manufacturing can be done, right here in the US. We believe too many good jobs have moved overseas that had no reason to move in the first place. It wasn’t simply because that area of the world is far less expensive to operate a manufacturing facility. It simply comes down to efficiency. Their competitors overseas were more efficient at producing a product. While their competitors made every effort to acquire equipment, talent, and resources, too many businesses in the US continued to operate at the status quo.

If WAi still operated today the same way it did 10 years ago, we would still be delivering boards to customers built by hand. Our customers might continue to pay for these services, knowing that they could move their manufacturing operation overseas and save a lot of money by doing so. But our customers appreciated the flexibility and ease of having a domestic manufacturer. So really then, it would be a disservice to continue with the status quo and force our customers to pay such a high premium when we could put forth every effort to make ourselves more efficient and offer them a better price.

Again, it is our intention to show other small businesses, like ourselves, just how manufacturing can be done, right here in the US. WAi believes in sharing.
