Creating a GWK File
- Open GC-Prevue
- If necessary File - New
- Shift+I to import gerber files
- Select the following files
- Silkscreen Top
- Stencil Top
- Soldermask Top
- Silkscreen Bottom
- Stencil Bottom
- Soldermask Bottom
- Copper Top
- Copper Bottom
- Outline
- Drill (if available)
- Click Open - Ok - OK - Yes to any prompts - Ok to any more prompts
- Change colors of each layer accordingly. Look at previous jobs as an example
- Silkscreen - Blue
- Stencil - Green
- Soldermask - Pink
- Copper - Light Blue
- Outline - Red
- Sort the colors by dragging and dropping them
- Silkscreen Top
- Stencil Top
- Soldermask Top
- Silkscreen Bottom
- Stencil Bottom
- Soldermask Bottom
- Copper Top
- Copper Bottom
- Outline
- Select "Physical Layers" and type "H" to hide them all from view. Then select Silkscreen Top, Stencil Top, and Outline and type "V" after selecting each to make them visible.
- Save the file in W:\WAi_Gerber Files as the PCB name that's associated to them in MRP.
